Discover > Best Of Texas > 10 Texas Pumpkin Patches for Autumn Family Fun

As I am writing this article, the fall season is fast approaching and my 6-year-old son is asking me if the family can again take a trip to a pumpkin patch. It’s a tradition we had been doing since he was a three-year-old tyke.

A trip to the pumpkin patch is a great outdoor experience for young kids. It allows them to enjoy farm life, roaming around, exploring, playing, and picking ripe pumpkins- to which they are naturally attracted because of the bright colors and shapes.  Also, the pleasant fall weather makes it an ideal time for some outside-the-home family bonding.

Here in Texas, there are many pumpkin patches where you can take the kids. These places are spread across the lone star state. These are some of the 10 pumpkin patches which you can visit with the family.
