Participants can indulge in complimentary wine tastings and take advantage of a 15% discount on purchases of three or more bottles at each of the 45+ participating wineries. 17th Annual Chili Cook Off

The 17th Annual Chili Cook-Off, hosted by Hotel San José and Jo's Coffee in Austin, is set to take place on February 4, 2024. This beloved event aims to warm up the winter while supporting the organization Free Lunch, which addresses food insecurity in Austin. The cook-off features both amateur and professional chefs competing for the coveted chili pot. 

Attendees can enjoy live music, a Quick Fire Competition, a raffle, and more chili-related festivities. Entry to the event is free, and tasting wristbands are available for purchase to sample the chili entries and vote for a favorite. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo,

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, established in 1949, has become one of the largest and most prestigious events in San Antonio, attracting approximately 1.5 million visitors annually. With the help of over 6,000 volunteers, the rodeo hosts various fundraising events throughout the year. 

These include the Cowboy Breakfast, a traditional hearty breakfast, the Bar-B-Que Cook-Off & Festival, celebrating delicious barbecue, and the Cowboy Golf Classic, a golf tournament supporting the rodeo. 16th Annual Houston Irish Stew Cook-off and Music Festival

The 16th Annual Houston Irish Stew Cook-off and Music Festival is an event held in early February to raise funds for the Houston St. Patrick's Parade. Attendees can enjoy a variety of Irish and local food, live music, vendors, and family-friendly activities. The festival takes place at Tequila B's giant backyard in Houston, Texas. There is a cook-off competition, music performances, dancers, bagpipers, face painters, and various vendors. 

The event will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Admission is a $10 donation in advance or $15 at the door, with free entry for children under 12. The festival includes contests for different categories of food, as well as public voting for the best booth. It will take place on Saturday, February 17. Wristbands for weekend access can be purchased for $20 at the gate, which includes a parking tag. Visitors can set up cooking spots, purchase category entries, and explore raffle items at the pavilion. Live music will be performed throughout the day, and there are play areas for kids. 

Attendees are encouraged to interact with the friendly teams and sample their prize recipes. A highlight is the Hot Shit Team Chili Tasting, where tasting cups with voting tickets can be purchased at the pavilion. Voting ends at 3:45 pm. The Jalapeño Festival

The Jalapeño Festival, sponsored by La Costeña, is a highly anticipated event that has grown from a small local gathering in 1978 to an international sensation. The festival showcases mainstream artists such as Gloria Trevi, Los Tigres del Norte, Los Angeles Azules, Intocable, Duelo, and many more. It promises two days of non-stop dancing and entertainment, making it one of the hottest events in February.

The festival will be held on February 17-18, 2024, at El Metro Park & Ride in Laredo, Texas. Attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, cultural performances, and, of course, the spicy flavors of jalapeño.

World's Championship Bar-B-Que

Although most team tents are invitation-only, visitors can still enjoy the public venues, including the Miller Lite Garden, Rockin' Bar-B-Que Saloon, and the Chuck Wagon.
