Soul of DFW History of Soul Food Bus Tour!
Join us for the "SOUL OF DFW" Food and Black History Bus Tour DALLAS EDITION! This will be our very first tour that we explore the history of soul food one bite at a time! We'll visit historical local African American landmarks and learn about the significant contributions to our city. But the fun doesn't stop there! Designated *surprise* stops at Black-owned restaurants for tastings of their popular chosen soul foods and desserts. Plus learn the history of those foods that have helped define what Southern food is today taught by local historian and food writer, Deah Berry Mitchell. Deah writes about Black food history for the Dallas Morning News, teaches an introductory course in American food history, and is the author of "Cornbread & Collard Greens: How West African Cuisine & Slavery Influenced Soul Food. Take in the sites stress-free and with a fun group of fellow history and food lovers while exploring the tastes of DFW from the comfort of a chauffeured bus.

Taste of Round Rock presented by H-E-B, is a community event featuring restaurants and caterers showcasing their cuisine to more than 1000 attendees. This year's event is scheduled for April 25 at the Round Rock Sports Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
Taste of Round Rock is a great opportunity for you to try different menu items and discover new culinary creations while enjoying an evening with colleagues and friends.

FAQs
What do I get with my ticket?
Access to the event for 2 hours and unlimited visits to the food and drink provider booths. We will have from 30 to 40 vendors giving away free samples of their food. We provide a tray and plasticware.
What time do the doors open?
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for all purchased ticket holders. (Event sponsors get in at 5:30 p.m.)
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There are about 500 parking spots at the Round Rock Sports Center. We recommend carpooling if possible to alleviate traffic and parking congestion. There is additional parking in the back of the building and it is okay to park in the grassy area adjacent to the back parking lot. Parking is free.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You can print your ticket and bring it or present your ticket from your mobile device. The ticket confirmation email will come from Eventbrite not the Round Rock Chamber. You may also access your ticket from the free Eventbrite app. You must have either a printed ticket or mobile ticket to enter the event.
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable.
How much is a ticket for my child?
Children ten and under are free.
What time is the event?
Taste of Round Rock is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The event doors have not opened and I need to use the restroom—where can I go?
There are restrooms open and available for you to use in the outdoor arena.

Only people with tickets may wait in line since we are checking people in prior to the doors opening.
My company bought tickets or is sponsoring the event and is owed tickets—where can I get my tickets?
You can check-in with the ticket booth and return to the line.

Is there any place to sit?
The entire upstairs of seats at the Sports Center is available and can seat 300+. We will also have pull out bleachers on either side of the arena which can seat about 50 each. In addition, we have the tall cocktail tables that people stand around while they eat.
Is there anything to drink?
There will be a cash bar selling spirits as well as soda and water. Some booths may also provide samples of beverages. Feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic drink.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? There will be parking available in a large grassy pasture near the brewery. Please be on the lookout for signage. We encourage carpooling when possible. There is NO public transport or car services in Blanco, so please drink responsibly, or bring a designated driver.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Entry to the event is all ages, but you must have valid 21+ photo ID to receive beer tickets and drink beer. (We don't like to make assumptions - bring it, no matter how far past 21 you are.) Entry for kids, 15 yrs and under, is free, and kids must be accompanied by an adult.
Do I have to bring my ticket to the event? If you purchased your ticket beforehand, yes, please bring your ticket to the event. Each person entering the party must have their ticket either on paper or open and visible on their smartphone. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate.
Can I buy tickets at the door? No guarantee. Best if you buy them in advance in case we do sell out, in which case, no tickets at the door.
Are my tickets transferrable? Yes. You may transfer your tickets by changing the name on the order, via the Eventbrite site.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? Yes. As long as you present a ticket and a valid 21+ photo ID, you may use the ticket.
Do I really need my ID? Yes. Really. Even if you haven't been carded in 30 years, please bring a valid photo ID to verify your age.
What is the refund policy? There will be no ticket refunds. The party will go on, rain or shine.
What can/can't I bring to the event? You can bring your kid, your leashed dog, and your blankets and lawn chairs. There will be plenty of space to spread out. You cannot bring outside alcoholic beverages. Food & non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from individual vendors.
Will additional beer tickets be available for purchase? Yes. We will be selling beer and cocktails during at the party.
