Homesteading is a sustainable and healthy way of life, but we canโ€™t all just quit our jobs and move into the countryside to live off-grid. Because of this, TexasRealFood is offering a series that will teach you small ways you can make your life more sustainable -- wherever you live!

In our April Social Circle, Team G Ranch will be teaching us one small way that you can bring the homestead life into your home with ... chicken (how long does chicken last?) raising!

In this event, you will learn how to get started raising chickens, how to produce eggs, and everything in between. Whether you want to start it as a hobby because you LOVE omelets, or you want to get a full production going, this workshop will teach you all the basics from chicken coops to even advice on processing chicken meat.

Team G Ranch is passionate about teaching folks ways to be self-reliant. They believe that chicken raising is a great way to do this and they are excited to show you how to get started.

"Our love for the ranch life started with a few backyard chickens while living in a neighborhood. Now our chickens happily free-range seventeen acres with our other livestock. We offer farm-fresh eggs and meat and are passionate about sharing how you can improve your food security with processing classes."
