9th Annual BBQ Festival Returns to Houston
Fire up the grills! The 9th annual Houston Barbeque Festival is returning to the Humble Civic Center Arena on Sunday, April 3rd for a fun-filled celebration of local Texas barbeque. The event’s triumphant revival comes after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, and festival organizers are ecstatic to bring the party back to barbeque fans throughout the Houston area.
The festival lineup is bigger and better than ever, showcasing barbeque from Central, East and Southwest Texas, as well as techniques and traditions from Asia.
“This lineup represents both the depth of talent as well as the diversity of influences that makes Houston the most unique and exciting barbeque scene in the U.S.,” says festival co-founder J.C Reid.
2022’s participating vendors will include the likes of 1701 Barbeque, J-Bar M Barbeque, The Pit Room, The Brisket House, Burns Original BBQ, Ray’s BBQ Shack, Burro & Bull and Khoi Barbeque.
The Houston BBQ Festival is organized by HOUBBQ, a local, independent organization committed to producing events that showcase the drive and dedication of Houston’s expert pit masters and world-class restaurants.
General admission begins at $70 per person, including entrance to the festival grounds and unlimited samples from participating barbeque vendors. For $130 per person, guests can enjoy priority entrance one hour prior to public opening, along with a complimentary T-shirt and drink ticket. The Houston BBQ Festival will take place rain or shine, with contingency plans in place should inclement weather occur. To ensure public safety and the event’s quality, ticket sales are limited, so secure yours today! Admission passes will not be available at the door.
