Thanksgiving Food That Should Be Banned

The Worldâs First Vegan Hospital
Last year, a hospital in Beirut became the first hospital in the world to⊠well⊠serve only vegan food. I mean, as a Texan, nothing really makes me feel better than a large steak, but still, this is hospital food weâre talking about. According to Hayek Hospital, âOur patients will no longer wake up from surgery to be greeted with ham, cheese, milk, and eggs ⊠the very food[s] that may have contributed to their health problems in the first place,â
Instead of meat and animal products, the hospital is now offering plant-based / vegan meals in the form of vegan burgers, pizzas, and other vegan versions of traditional Lebanese fare. Now is this a good idea? Maybe. Time will tell. One thingâs for sure though, hospital food will never be the same again.

Food That Tasted Better in The 80s
No, itâs not just nostalgia or imagination that many people think that food tasted better in the 80s, itâs actually true! From chicken to junk food, the best tasting food did come from the early generations.
The reason why food back then seemed to taste so good is that they actually tasted good! Chickens grew to a ripe old age (as chicken ages, so does itâs flavor), this is why many Chinese restaurants still use âoldâ chicken for their stocks. Chickens nowadays have been bred and modified to the point where they grow to massive sizes in the shortest amount of time.
Tomatoes have also suffered from this. This is why heirloom tomatoes still taste the best! Newer âdesignerâ tomatoes have been bred for maximum size and longevity, genes that are easily identified.
Even junk food has suffered. Ever since trans fats were banned by the US government, many of our favorite junk foods have changed in taste! Well, Iâm always for moderation in everything. I mean, if I decide to eat something decadent, then it must taste good!
