Directions:

To get there from Fredericksburg, head north on State Route 16 for around 13 miles till you reach Willow City. From there, venture east on Ranch Road 1323 for about 3 miles before turning left onto Willow City Loop.

If you're yearning for more, continue from U.S. 281 to Texas 71 via RR 962. This breathtaking 10-mile stretch is adorned with hues of blue and green, taking you through serene, rolling hills - a delightful option for those utilizing the two highways. However, the most captivating drive begins when you venture toward Lake Buchanan. 

Directions:

To embark on this spectacular journey, you must turn off of Texas 29 and onto RR 2341, heading north. As you leisurely swing lakeside down FM 690, prepare to be awe-struck by the majestic waters that hug the curving shoreline, nourishing the rich plant life that stretches out before you. Though tranquil, the journey eventually connects back to Texas 29, serving as the perfect reminder of the treasures that await when we take the time to explore the picturesque landscapes tucked away in seemingly familiar settings.

Templeton's Tavern

After a long day of taking in all the beauty of wildflowers and bluebonnets, Templeton's Tavern is the perfect place to kick back and relax with friends for the evening, taking in the grand view of Spider Mountain against the big Texas sky.
