San Antonio in south central Texas might be more than a hundred miles away from the coast but if you’re looking for good dining places serving seafood, there are plenty of ‘em in the city.
Being a confluence of different culinary cultures such as Spanish, Mexican, German, French, and American, San Antonio is a foodie paradise where you can find many specialty restaurants which include seafood.

Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood
The place is more known for its exceptional steaks but this restaurant located on historic Houston Street is also getting rave reviews for its Cajun seafood dishes (What wine goes well with seafood dishes?) such as their Wild Alaskan Salmon, Fresh Gulf Red Snapper Filet, Char-Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, Mesquite-grilled Gulf Red Snapper Royale and one of the recommended must-order- their French grilled Oysters. Eddie V’s Prime Seafood
A branch of a contemporary restaurant chain that offers prime catch seafood and USDA prime-grade steaks and chops. There’s a raw bar, patio dining, and a lively happy hour. A complete dining experience awaits at their location in Plaza Las Campanas.
This was the former Wildfish Seafood Grille until multi-brand restaurant operator Darden Restaurants acquired three Wildfish restaurants in 2011 alongside Eddie V’s Prime Seafood and decided to convert the Wildfish into the Eddie V’s brand.
They have a sumptuous list of shellfish (What wine goes well with shellfish?) and oysters, one of their well-loved appetizers is the Maine Lobster (What wine goes well with lobster?)Tacos (homemade fresh tortillas with grilled sweet corn pico de gallo. For the second course, there’s the Maine Lobster Bisque (Maine Lobster, cream, and cognac). Prime Seafood offerings include Chilean Sea Bass, Norwegian Salmon, George Banks Scallops, Jumbo Gulf Shrimp, and South African Lobster.

Boudro’s Texas Bistro on the RiverWalk
The RiverWalk is the home to several must-visit restaurants and if you want some nice seafood dishes you can try Boudro’s Texas Bistro on the RiverWalk. Their seafood-based menu is sourced from the fresh catch on the Texas Coast such as the Chile-Seared Gulf Jumbo Shrimp or the Chile-Fried Gulf Oysters.
They have wood-grilled Atlantic Salmon, house-smoked jumbo shrimp and gulf crab (how long does crab last?) enchiladas, coconut shrimps, and other fine seafood meal selections. Try checking out their website.
Landry’s Seafood
Part of Landry’s, a multi-brand restaurant chain that started in Katy in 1980. Landry’s Seafood San Antonio location is situated in Riverwalk and offers the creatively rich flavors of the Gulf Coast cuisine in this part of central Texas.
Among their popular specialties include the Crescent City Snapper (blackened shrimp, crab, and crawfish with lemon and butter), Cedar Planked Salmon, and Almond-crusted Mahi Mahi. For more information, you can check out their website.
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
A popular casual seafood dining resto in San Antonio, Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen is part of a big restaurant chain founded by Chris and Harris Papas who was inspired by their Greek grandfather H.D. Papas who earlier founded several restaurants in the United States.

Crawfish Cafe
Crawfish Cafe which opened its first branch in Houston in 2013 and opened a few years ago in San Antonio is known for its Crawfish specialties. Aside from their signature crawfish they also have plenty of crabs, lobsters, shrimps, catfish, and mussels in their Viet-Cajun dishes. The Vietnamese-Cajun style of cooking crawfish (garlic buttery) became popular in Houston. With Crawfish Cafe, San Antonians got a place to try this East-meets-West blend of cooking (brought about by Vietnamese refugees who settled in areas along the Gulf Coast).

Rebelle
Located at the historic St. Anthony Hotel, Rebelle (French for rebel) founded by restaurateur Andrew Goodman and chef Stefani Bowers has been consistently chosen as among San Antonio’s top restaurants. The Express-News Food Critic Mike Sutter has hailed it as the best Seafood Restaurant in San Antonio. A few years ago the restaurant shifted its direction into a seafood-focused menu (owing to the lack of seafood dining options in downtown San Antonio).

Chart House Restaurant
Located at the Tower of the Americas, you can indulge in mouthwatering seafood while enjoying the panoramic vista of the Alamo city. Try their Dock To Dine seafood selections; Tuna, Mahi, Salmon, Ahi Tuna, Sea Bass, Swordfish, and King Salmon.
