Northwest Texas Pumpkin Patches Are Callin’!

I know, I know, it still feels like we are riding the highs of summer with Texas temperatures, but fret not, for soon there will be a welcome crisp in the air, flannel and pumpkins galore!

This season, we are highlighting a not-so-obvious vacation spot of Texas: the Panhandle. The Panhandle, and surrounding North and West area, with its atypical sights and sounds, has proven satisfying for various visitors. You can soak in the red-gold sunset in one of the region’s canyons, state parks, or unleash your inner cowboy at a Western-themed museum.

For Fall 2021, we rounded up a list of some fabulous farms and other community organizations hosting pumpkin patches in and around the North and West Texas area.

During this time, along with pumpkin patches, local farms plan fun activities for families: corn (how long does corn last?) mazes, hayrides, petting zoos, train trips, tube slides, and much more. Of course, it’s also the perfect time to find the right pumpkin to paint, carve, or cook with!

So before heading out with the kids to pick the perfect pumpkin for a Halloween jack-o-lantern, read this list of the top pumpkin patches in Northwest Texas for 2021.
