Assiter Punkin Ranch is located in Floydada, the pumpkin capital of the USA since 1987. Tommy Assiter, the father of the current manager of Assiter Punkin ranch (Tim Assiter), started raising pumpkins in the 1960s.

The ranch currently grows seventy-one pumpkin varieties on a 45-acre land. From white, orange, red, gree, big, or small, they’ve got the pumpkin you need. Perfect for kids, Assister Punkin Ranch also has a petting zoo with dogs, cats, goats, donkeys, and horses!

Blase Family Farm

Located in the suburbs of Texas, Blase Family Farm is a small farm with a wooded sanctuary that allows U-Pick services for their blueberries and pumpkins. The farm usually held the blueberry pick up at the end of May until the beginning of July. On the other hand, they run the pumpkin patch experience in October.

Braune Farms Fresh Produce

Jeffrey and Julie Braun, with their four children, run Braune Farms Fresh Produce. The couple were both raised in an agricultural background. They produce lots of different vegetables sustainably and offer one of the best Pumpkin patch experiences. Best part yet? They do not charge admission and parking fees when you visit!

Aside from the fresh veggies they regularly sell in the Farm Stand, they also sell pickled vegetables and jams. If you don’t have time to go to the farm, check them out at Pearl Farmers Market in San Antonio and Freiheit Village Farmers Market. Lola’s Local Market

Lola’s Local Market is a charming and quirky farm stand in Melissa, Texas. The store combines locally-sourced produce with artisan craft items as well as products and produces from out-of-state. “Lola” refers to the farm’s porcine star who’s the real boss of the place. She’s the farm’s mascot and main attraction.

Besides Lola, other farm animals like chickens and rabbits roam freely on the property. (The owners are very firm about not chasing and stressing the animals!) On special days like their Hay Days (every Saturday of October), the farm gets dressed up to fit the occasion. There are added attractions such as a pumpkin patch, a hay maze, and a petting zoo. Jollisant Farm opened in 1955 as a dairy — although, in the ‘70s, it closed. While this is an unfortunate fate, the garden at the farm stayed. The Jollisant Farm started selling veggies in 2008 and put up a pick-your-own strawberry farm in 2012. Currently, they allow their customers to pick berries and vegetables from the farm.
