Their Filipino food is one of the best I’ve tried in the state. A must-try is their pork adobo (What wine goes well with pork adobo?) and, of course, top it all off with halo-halo to beat that heat.

Block Table & Tap offers some pretty decent craft brews that are best paired with their dishes inspired from cuisines around the world. I tried their Crispy & Spicy Chicken Sandwich that went quite well with the Karbach Rodeo Clown Double IPA.

L&J Cafe is a family-run eatery in El Paso that was first opened back in the 1920s. This has made them one of the timeless and traditional eats along Missouri Avenue. If you ever get to visit, I suggest trying their fiery chili.

It’s hard to miss Zino’s Greek and Mediterranean Cuisine at a local strip mall on North Mesa Street, El Paso. You can expect some pretty great eats like gyros, kebabs, & other Mediterranean specialties.

Eloise is a laid-back El Paso food joint in the Thunderbird Valley. They specialize in European cuisine and you’ll find that their vegan-friendly menu has some great picks like their vegan nachos. Flavorful picks for the pickiest eater are what you can expect at Eloise.

If you’re going into Texas with quite the budget on you, by all means, I highly recommend trying the best and swankiest food joints in the city. Here are six must try and experience restos that will give you your money’s worth.

Anson Eleven

If you have a thing for artisan pizza, steaks, and pasta (how long does pasta last?), then Anson Eleven should be on your El Paso eats list.1` I highly recommend trying their braised grass-fed lamb shank which is bursting with flavor.
