6 Texas Citrus Farms for the Best Oranges & Grapefruits

Updated for the 2022 - 2023 Season

In the 2022-23 season, growers are excited to return with a strong harvest after two years stymied by extreme weather, freak cold spells, and of course the pandemic.

One thing that I’ve learned from the COVID-19 pandemic is that I’m never taking my immune system for granted again. One way to keep our bodies in check is to get a good amount of Vitamin C. And what better way to do this than to eat some delicious citrus fruits.

Luckily for us, Texas is home to a variety of wonderful citrus fruits at certain times of year. If you’re looking to pick up some oranges, lemons, or grapefruits, why check out one of these six citrus farms located in the Lone Star State

US Citrus

Crockett Farms

The Crockett family has a rich history in the citrus industry, dating back to the 1930s when Stanley B. Crockett, Sr. first planted his groves. Through years of experience and passion for horticulture, he was able to create thriving orchards that became the foundation for what is now a nationwide business. In the 1960s, Brad Crockett took over the business and decided to share their delicious fruit with others by shipping gift boxes of oranges and grapefruit around the country. Today Allan Crockett (Brad’s son) and his family continue this tradition while upholding the same standards of quality set by previous generations.
