Ranch-To-Table Grass-Fed Beef Source

We are currently seeing the emerging importance and benefits of sourcing healthy, natural, safe, and sustainable food now more than ever — especially when dealing with livestock. Lucky for us all, 7D Ranch has been a working cattle operation in the rolling hills of Southeast Texas!

40+ years of guaranteed highest quality beef (how long does beef last?) directly for our consumption and 40+ years filled with nothing but expertise from a third-generation beef rancher named Keith Debault.

Humble Roots,Grounded Aspirations

Keith Debault, the owner of 7D Ranch in Navasota, has had farming and ranching in his veins from day one. He has been actively looking for ways to share his passion for ranching and his love for the cattle business with people from all different backgrounds.

Humble Roots,Grounded Aspirations

Straight out of high school he began his ranching career by purchasing a small herd — all while keeping his full-time job in town. Realizing the potential prosperity that ranching could provide, he ventured out on his own to launch a career in beef. From the start, his vision was to breed premium quality cattle while offering the best replacement females available.

Keith has developed a premium catalog of F1 Tiger Stripes, Brangus, Black Baldie, and Braford heifers. After 40+ years of husbandry trial and error, 7D Ranch encompasses several thousand acres of owned land now home to several thousand heads of top-quality cattle.

Ranchers all over Texas seek cattle from 7D Ranch — including other states such as Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico!

Through the years, Keith Debault’s passion and love for the “cowboy way of life” and the ranching has kept him focused on sharing that love with others. The future looks bright as he continues to emphasize these three goals in running the ranch:

Serving the Lord with good stewardship, the nation with good citizenship, and the community by being good neighbors.

7D Ranch Highlights

Cattle from 7D are guaranteed to be raised right in their farm and are never even been to an auction or on a trailer. The process takes a calf straight from its momma’s milk to an all-natural diet and from there, the next stop would be your plate full of locally raised, all-natural beef.

As Texas beef producers, it is their main goal to continuously provide a superior product for you as a customer and ensure complete satisfaction. The ranch prides themselves on staying ahead of the curve — from top-notch vaccination and mineral program to the greenest grass and fresh Texas spring water, cattle from 7D Ranch are second to none!

A Day on the Ranch

Wondering what a typical day at the ranch looks like? Well, a day on the ranch begins with watching the sun come up while enjoying a homemade cowboy breakfast. After that, Keith will gather his ranch employees to meet and go over the day’s chores.

The staff will then be feeding and will be giving fresh water to the livestock. Once everyone has their belly full, the team will ride the ranch to check the fence-line. This is done to make sure that the livestock is secure and in the correct pastures.

After their chores, their sales team will book appointments and will execute tours with potential clients throughout the herd so the selection process can begin. The team will mount up to sort the remaining cattle for sale once the customer has selected their cattle and the cattle have been loaded.

All ranch employees take the business very seriously with safety for humans and animals alike as their top priority. With that being said, when moving cattle around the ranch, employees use best practices to ensure there are no injuries to either the staff or the livestock.

After lunch, the team will check the herd to make sure everyone is doing their job to raise calves, breed, and graze. All these things are essential in producing the tastiest local beef available.

In the afternoon, the 7D team resumes their feeding chores while checking equipment and fueling up to do it all over again the next day. All in a day’s work for a cowboy!

Coping with COVID-19

COVID-19 affected 7D Ranch — like all business owners across Texas. Their staff, for example, has implemented new ways to keep the ranch safe for employees and visitors alike.

A Day on the Ranch

Specializing in several daily activities and overnight stays to week-long retreats, their staff is working diligently to keep areas wiped down. Of course, while practicing social distancing to ensure the ranch is doing its part to keep the virus from spreading.

7D has some of the cleanest cabins ready for anyone to come and enjoy safely. Their “cowboy packages” specifically allow everyone to experience ranch life. Take in panoramic sunrise and sunset views, all while being on horseback or taking a walk over rolling hills! Check out their website for more information.

What Lies Ahead

Keith has a tremendous vision for the future of 7D Ranch, including:

A Complete Outdoor Rodeo Arena

The arena will be available to book for barrel racing, roping events, and ranch rodeos. It could also be used to let customers practice their skills for competition. 7D Ranch also plans to hold its events so stay tuned for more information.
