Boozy Beer Walks and Whisky Tours

McKinney St. Patrick's Day Beer Walk by SBG Hospitality

Take part in the McKinney St. Patrick’s Day Beer Walk and enjoy tasting a variety of craft beers, ciders, and seltzers in Downtown McKinney. Upon arrival, you’ll receive your signature McKinney St. Patrick’s Day Beer taster and a map that’ll direct you on your sip and stroll. On this tasting journey, you’ll get the chance to visit 20 delicious beer stations set up inside local shops. A variety of amazing North Texas breweries will be joining this event, including Tupps Brewery, Franconia, Austin Eastciders, Community Brewing Co, Luck Springs, Four Corners Brewing Co, and more! Children are also welcome, so make sure you have the entire family dressed up in St. Pat’s attire. There’s also a costume contest, live Irish music, and even a friendly leprechaun!

Irish Tour Whiskey Tasting by Pinballz - Lake Creek

Shake a leg and do an Irish jig with all the lords and the ladies of the land! Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early at Pinballz’s Irish Tour Whiskey Tasting. By sampling the exquisite tastes of a variety of fine spirits, such as Midleton Very Rare, you can refine your whiskey-tasting palate. B52 Barrel Fest 2022 by B-52 Brewing Co

At the 5th Annual Barrel Fest, for one day only, you'll have access to a limited selection of 50+ unique barrel-aged beers. What’s more, B-52 Brewing Co. will be serving everything from huge bourbon stouts to vibrant fruity sours. Many of the beers served will be one-time-only brews made just for this special day. A one-of-a-kind event, all beers will be first come first serve, so make sure to come early. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the beers that will be available for you to choose from: Peach Muse, Sour Bourbonator, Oak Lagered Toasted Coconut Schwarzbier, and Carmel Maple Stargazer. Foodies can indulge in Bright Relish’s Chicago-style hot dogs and fries, Tostonio’s Puerto Rican fusion dishes, and Gotta Roll specialty egg rolls, all served from food trucks making their pit stop.

Whiskey Tasting - Premium Irish Whiskies with Marius Donnelly

Get yer Irish up with Marius Donnelly as he leads a two-hour whiskey tasting with a line-up of six of the best Irish whiskies. These whiskies are as authentic as they get –– smoke and peat-free, with a delightful fruitiness and special cask finishes. The tasting will include a selection of ‘higher-end’ whiskeys on the Irish market, ones that are seldom found even in Dallas' top dining rooms. You’ll have the chance to taste the whiskies side-by-side, and identify what you like and dislike, leaving you with key whiskey know-how that you can use the next time you visit your local liquor store! At $69 per person, the tasting includes six whiskies, light snacks, and 90 minutes of fun conversation!

FM 1960 St. Patrick's Parade (UPDATE: Cancelled for  2022)

Texas gathers together the Irish and Irish-at-heart for a grand celebration on St. Patrick's Day weekend. The best way to celebrate? It has to be visiting one of the local parades, most of which are completely free. The annual FM 1960 St. Patrick’s Parade is one of the largest of its kind in Texas. The 3-mile route stretches from Paradise Valley Drive to Kuykendahl Road and is due to boast more than a hundred floats, all decked out in green. Thousands of spectators are expected to line the streets between 2 and 5 pm to watch performing groups, fire trucks, police cars, rescue boats, and horses. What’s more, a vendor market located in the middle of the route shall be offering delicious goodies and merchandise. Proceeds will be donated to Cypress Creek Emergency Medical Services.

St Patrick's Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner by Hamilton Pool Vineyards and Farms

A truly scenic destination, Hamilton Pool Vineyards and Farms is hosting a family-friendly event complete with live music, a traditional corned beef and cabbage buffet, and the opportunity to purchase fabulous Texas wines. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children aged 13 years and under.

Music will be provided by DJ A-ONE. The event features a mouthwatering crawfish and shrimp boil starting at 1pm until it’s all gone! In a quick, one-and-a-half-hour class, you can pick up tips that’ll help you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style. Enjoy Irish-influenced dishes such as corned beef, cabbage and barley (how long does barley last?) soup, black-and-tan glazed pork tenderloin, and Irish butter shortbread. Sip on Irish beer as the chefs show you how to make each dish. For ages 21 and up.
