Froberg’s Farm

Spending a day of strawberry picking at the Froberg’s Farm in Alvin, TX is a ‘fruitful’ way to shake things up on a regular Galveston beach vacation. This farm is run by third-generation Frobergs, who welcome visitors from 9-6pm, seven days a week! Froberg’s Farm is open for their Strawberry Festival from 14th March 2022 through spring break and then will go every Saturday and Sunday (as long as weather permits). Kosub Farms  is located in the heart of the Strawberry Capital of Texas, Poteet. They are an organic seventh generation family-owned farm specializing in everything strawberry! Their U-pick strawberry season for 2022 opens on Saturday, 2nd of April at 9 am and will be open every weekend through May. Please book an appointment for your U-pick time slot between 9-4 pm on Saturdays and 1-4 pm on Sundays. Wednesdays will be open from 2-6 pm. You can enjoy food, strawberry shortcake, strawberry brownies, pies, ice cream, wine tasting, face painting, barrel train rides, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and of course, fresh Poteet strawberries!

KH Farms

Coming from a heritage of a very successful strawberry producer Kenneth Hoffman, KH Farms started growing strawberries back in 1952. Today, KH Farm is known as one of the farms in Poteet that produces plump and sweet strawberries.

This year, the KH Farm U-pick strawberry season is set to open tentatively on the 22nd of March. With no reservations required, visitors are welcome to pick berries on a first-come, first-serve basis between 9-4 pm on Saturdays. They also offer pre-picked berries for purchase.
