Wine For Normal People

Here’s a disclaimer: I’m not big on podcasts. While several people I know enjoy having a podcast playing in the background as they go about their day, I prefer listening to music rather than someone random talking. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve tried! Blame it on my Instagram-impaired attention span, but my podcast attentiveness doesn’t last beyond 5 minutes. So, when the opportunity arose to write a podcast review, I wasn't prepared to fall in love with Wine For Normal People.

Elizabeth Schneider: Not Your Average Wine Snob

Elizabeth grew up in New York with parents who exclusively drank European wines. Her passion for wine led her to participate in several classes and workshops, but each of those left her feeling intimidated. With her podcast, she attempts to break this cycle of intimidation and snobbery, and impart digestible knowledge to wine aficionados. She’s been made a Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers, a Certified Specialist of Wine by the Society of Wine Educators, and has become a public speaker on wine around the US.
